GLORIA ALBA - CURRICULUM VITÆ

Master in Psychology, specialized in psychoanalytical therapy.

Led by her interest in body language she began to study Bellydance.

Since 1982 Gloria Alba began to combine her clinical work with professional practice of dance under the lead of Shokry Mohamed, with whom she performed as an artistic couple touring Spain and abroad.

In 1983 she travels to Egypt in order to complete and improve her knowledge with the teacher Raqia Hassan. She begins to travel frequently to Egypt due to her passion for the dance and her marriage to an Egyptian. During those visits she acquired a deep knowledge of the Egyptian culture and had the opportunity to constantly update her knowledge of the dance and got acquainted with the new trends. She participated in several seminars, learning from internationally known teachers.

She also studied other disciplines such as: Body Language, Yoga Tai Chi, Bio energy, Khathak, Stretching and Body Consciousness.

She is been teaching Bellydance since 1989 and at her school have studied the most prestigious bellydancers of Spain.

Teacher in International Festival “Ahlan was Sahlan”

She expressed her particular vision in two shows: “The seven veils of dance” and “Surur”.
